Welcome to Townsville State High School for 2024. With an early start to our Cyclone season, we hope everyone is safe and ready for an exciting first term. Some events happening this term include our amazing Inter-Reef Swimming Carnival and The Worlds Greatest Shave. Townsville State High School is lucky to have a new Principal, Mr Murray James. Mr James is a previous Townville State High School student himself who is focused on equity and excellence in our school, with student achievement, wellbeing and engagement being high in priorities for all students across the board. We welcome Mr James and cannot wait to see where he will take us. But to quote Tennis Great Arthur Ash, "Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome", and we all know that education is a journey that never ends.
