At Townsville State High School, we offer students with additional needs:

  • Differentiated literacy and numeracy programs aligned with C2C learning materials to support the Australian Curriculum and individual learning needs.
  • Modified assessment to support the differentiated literacy and numeracy programs.
  • Programs selected to suit group needs eg. bike maintenance, cooking, social skills.
  • Teacher Aide supported inclusion in mainstream classes.
  • Subject selection and learning pathways to maximise learning potential.
  • Liaison with parents and relevant professionals.
  • Individual Learning Plans.
  • Individual time tabling as required.
  • Access to Stanton Lodge Life skills programs.
  • Transition program primary to secondary school.
  • Transition program from secondary school to post compulsory activities.
  • Work Experience opportunities.
  • Opportunity to obtain a Queensland Certificate of Education or a Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement on completion of Year 12.
