Tuesday the 28th January is our first school day for 2025 and we will start our day by meeting at the school HALL.
At 8.30am, the Year Coordinators will place signs outside the Hall for students to find their name and identify which REEF and TAG class they have been placed in.
If you find that your name is missing from the list, you just need to speak to one of the Year Coordinators assisting in the morning and we will identify which REEF and TAG you are in.
Remember: Your REEF is your sporting house - Brewer (red), Faraday (yellow), Needle (green) and Warrior (blue). TAG (10 minutes) is your roll class where you get your name marked off for attendance and you listen to notices at the beginning of every school day.
Once all of our new students have found their REEF and TAG we will ask them to move inside the hall and sit in the space allocated for that TAG class.
At 9am, our Principal will ring the official school bell for the first time and welcome all of our new students to the school. TAG teachers will be in the Hall ready to meet their students, assist them to collect a school diary and then escort them to their TAG classroom. Students will remain with their TAG teacher until 10.20am, their TAG teacher will distribute their timetable, show the students around the school and answer any questions the students have.
At 10.20am all previous students will return to school and spend period 2 in their TAG class with our new students where they will receive their new 2025 timetables and diaries.
First break is 11.30am untl 12.10pm. The Junior Student Precinct is located under G block and for Year 7 students only. It is deliberately designed this way so that Year 7 students are able to find their friends easily.
At the end of first break (12.10pm) our normal timetable will begin. Students will go to their timetabled period 3 class followed by second break and period 4.
What you need to bring:
- Two exercise books (for period 3 and 4)
- Pencilcase with equipment
- Hat
- Prepared lunch or money to purchase food from the canteen
