The year 12 boys ventured down to Mackay last week for their Year 12 Leadership Camp and stayed just north of Mackay at Seaforth Pines Resort. The boys started the camp off with a dinner with all the other academies within our region and also were joined by some of Clontarf's major partners including BHP, Thiess, Woolworths, Big W, Fulton Hogan and Hastings Deering.
The dinner included some guest speakers and also some of the Mackay Clontarf graduates from the last couple of years who were telling the boys their story and how Clontarf has helped them through their school journey and also now into the big bad world. The following day the boys participated in a few workshops including goal setting, mock interviews, end of year trip planning and a virtual reality session with BHP. Afterwards the boys made their way to Mackay Harbour where they began their hour long trip out to the reef and Keswick Island just off the coast of Mackay.
